Mariya Solomko – conductor and chapel-master.
Evolution of the would-be musician was taking place in the background of the family of priests, singers of church choirs, artists. She got professional music education at Lviv Pedagogical College of Music and Lviv M. Lysenko State Conservatoire.
The choirs which this conductor has been directing in different periods are distinguished for the brightness of their repertoire, highly professional level of sounding, which fact is emphasized by the jury at different regional, All-Ukrainian and international contests.
Mariya Solomko was among the first in Lviv to make children familiar with the musical material of the liturgy. As the result of that, the children’s choir of the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God was formed, it being affiliated with art school No. 5.
It was, therefore, quite reasonable that the chapel of bandura-players chose Mariya Solomko to be its art director, since this is an initiative and creative musician, a talented and responsible teacher.
Mariya Solomko is an active public figure, honorary member of the University of the IIIrd Millennium, senior highest-category teacher, whose pupils are now students of the music college and the academy of music.
Natalia Myshlovska, concertmaster of the chapel, from the picturesque Carpathians by origin. She started playing the bandura at the age of 9. After she finished music school and Drohobych music college she became the head of the ensemble of Ukrainian song in the town of Surgut, Tyumen region. She organized many meetings with Ukrainian diaspora in different cities of the Western Syberia.
In Lviv she went on to study at Lviv M. Lysenko State Conservatoire with professor L. K. Posikira. She worked as a teacher at the school of kobzar art "Dzvinochok".
At present Natalia Myshlovska is a teacher of music at music school No. 6, director of children’s ensemble of bandura-players. Every year her students become prize winners and diploma winners of city and regional contests. Young musicians have got the possibility to improve their mastery in the chapel of bandura-players "Dzvinha", among the initiators of the creation of which was Natalia Myshlovska.
